Routine maintenance involves regularly cleaning the hair/debris filter basket (avoiding impact and replacing it if damaged); inspecting and promptly replacing sealing components such as the pump head cover gasket, shaft seal, and O-rings; keeping the motor clean and ensuring cooling vents remain unobstructed; and maintaining operation logs to monitor the pump's sound, vibration, and current for abnormalities. Seasonal maintenance requires ensuring proper heat dissipation and protection from direct sunlight in summer, while winter shutdown procedures involve draining accumulated water from the pump and applying anti-rust oil. Always strictly follow the equipment manual during maintenance and contact professionals for complex malfunctions.
Common fault diagnosis and solutions include: If the pump fails to start or encounters a heavy starting load, check the power circuit, fuses, and voltage; verify that the pump is not jammed and the packing gland is not overtightened; then close the discharge valve and attempt to restart. If there is no liquid discharge or insufficient flow, check for adequate priming, correct rotation direction, and sufficient rotational speed; clear obstructions from the strainer, impeller, and piping; check the suction line for air leaks and ensure all valves are fully open; and inspect the impeller or seal rings for severe wear. If the head (pressure) is insufficient, in addition to the causes for low flow, check if the liquid density and viscosity deviate from design specifications and if the operating flow rate is excessive. In cases of abnormal vibration or noise, check the suction line for air leaks or blockages and look for signs of cavitation; verify stable pump installation; check for foreign objects inside the pump head; and inspect motor bearings for wear, rust, or damage. If the motor overheats, check for overload or low voltage; inspect motor bearings and the cooling system; and check for issues such as impeller friction or failure of the axial force balancing mechanism. If the shaft seal leaks, check if the packing gland is overtightened or requires lubrication; inspect the mechanical seal for damage; and verify the alignment of the water seal ring and water seal pipe.
